Welcome! Thank you for finding our page. Karuizawa Horizon International School is a free school (or independent school) located in Karuizawa, Nagano, among the sylvan scenery and a facility close to nature. Our school currently charters to about 20 students, ranging from elementary to high school. Currently, our students use several curriculums based on the different needs of each student—students who are more potent in Japanese use a Japanese system of study, while students who are more comfortable with English use online curriculums such as Abeka Academy. Students in our school take advantage of the spacious ground right next to the school building. Not only do we facilitate physical needs, but we also offer time to nurture musical abilities. We provide our students with the drums, guitar, bass, and piano, and they play every morning as a part of worship.
